Great Tool For Removal AND Installing Siding
I just got mine and it's already one of my favorite siding tools. It's designed for removal of vinyl siding, which it does a great job of, but I was equally impressed with how well it can help to install siding. As far as removal goes, slip it on the end of the siding and give a little tug, and your siding is loose. For pieces that go into J channel around windows and installing narrow pieces this tool works great for installing. It helps tug the pieces just right in order for them to snap together properly. For anyone who does siding, this tool is a must have tool

Do You NEED A Review ,To Decide If You Want This Tool???
Hey Man, If you need this tool, nothing else is going to work. As far as an actual review, well, it's better than the previous model. The handle covering kept slipping off of the old one. The way this new one is made, I believe it would be virtually impossible for this handle cover to slip off. This gives you more opportunity to put some power behind your pull and rip siding off at a much faster rate. A "Must Have" tool. I've also found that if I have it on me all the time(in the toolbelt pocket),there are thousands of uses for this tool. Just like my 5-in-1 painters tool, I keep it with me and use it daily.
siding removal tool works great
A hailstorm had damaged several strips of my homes vinyl siding and with the help of this tool, I was able to do the repairs myself and save money. It works great.

Quick and Easy
Product description is accurate. This product met my expectations. Good quality and works well to hang things from vinyl siding. A little more pricey than I would like but only vinyl siding hooks I could find!
Siding Hooks met expectations
Bought these two vinyl siding hooks to hang a large, five foot lighted wreath on the side of my house for Christmas. The wreath is quite heavy so I was initially worried that the weight limit would be enough. However, we hung the wreath on a pretty windy day and everything looked secure. Several days later everything is still hanging. Would recommend this product!

"Homebuyers and owners of around five or ten years ago were more
confident trendsetters and people wanting to build their own castle.
Today, I think buyers and owners desire homes that stand the test of
time, offer a comfortable retreat, and provide energy efficiency and
maintenance-free curb appeal," says Jonathan Wierengo, vice president of
marketing for The Tapco Group, a diversified manufacturer of residential
and light commercial building products (the tapco group is a headwaters
company:NYE ticker).
More builders are marketing sustainability's value to active buyers, who
according to the National Association of Realtors, plan to buy a home
within three years: nearly 30 percent of 18-29 year olds, 35 percent of
30-39 year olds and 34 percent of renters.
Companies like The Tapco Group have been moving forward and meeting
trends by developing new products and embracing green building. "We've
been designing sustainable products and implementing
environmentally-responsible processes," Wierengo says. "These products
are great for all regions, but we see areas like the Gulf States,
excluding Florida, returning to more normalized housing production by
2013. We expect some segments like multifamily housing and
new-construction siding to grow modestly as well," he notes.
In recent deliberations of the Sanibel City Council, community leaders have discussed the feasibility of acquiring the historic home known as Shore Haven with the idea that it could be relocated from its current location on Bird Lane and transitioned for use on the grounds of Sanibel Island's Historical Museum and Village. In December, a motion made by Councilman Marty Harrity garnered approval allowing for examination of the structure's dimensions to determine whether or not sufficient space was available on site of The Historical Village. During the January 3 City Council meeting, Harrity reported measurements had been completed, and indeed, Shore Haven could be accommodated.
Though not a done deal as yet, and Shore Haven's historic significance undergoing further review, for now Sanibel Historical Museum & Village President Alex Werner indicates that it is likely his Board of Directors will follow through on an acquisition/relocation request to the City. While the jury is still out on some of the numbers involved, Werner believes his group has the finances necessary to support the move, so that it wouldn't pose a burden to City coffers. As discussion along these lines continue, Werner, along with others who are essentially supportive of the Shore Haven proposal, say the acquisition poses certain advantages in providing the museum and village with much needed extra space to accommodate special exhibitions and displays.

Ive got my garage and it's time to start on the siding. Looking on craigslist, I found a guy selling 8 "square" of vinyl siding in Dutch color I need for a good price. He understands that it is facing yourself. No piece of mail, etc.
Vinyl siding usually comes in 12' panels of "double-four" or "double-five" meaning it covers 8-10" vertically and 12', minus overlap horizontally. Be certain that you like Dutch-lap style as it is a little different.

Those black stains are black sucker spores that are blown away from dead tree bark. They cling to anything and I tried them all but what worked was a green scowering pad, stapled to a wood broom post and I just worked it a bit and they popped off.
