OLD VHS 1980s feel
I've only skimmed this DVD from the library. The menu system is great, it's divided by ALL the MANY different things they teach. Most of it is the basic stuff, nothing demolition or construction that you'd want a contractor for. The con is you can easily tell it's an old VHS from the late 80s - early 90s? & though there's no date.. at one point, an electrician says, "If your wall switch doesn't work, you can trade if for many other styles..." He shows all the old ones & then says, "here's a brand new special one called a ROCKER switch..." Here's the scary thing, he shows you how to take out the old wall light switch & replace it, but never mentions *just in case for the forgetful or total newbie* to turn OFF the POWER to that switch so you don't literally kill yourself. Now I know that's common sense & no one likes to be reminded of something so obvious, but since this geared specifically for the people new at this, shouldn't they have to?

Way outdated
Upon reviewing this product one would think that the videos would be relativly new. However, they are videos of a home improvement show that aired in the mid 80's and didn't provide any insight to new techniques and current tools.

Good overall, especially if you like disco
I enjoyed the video and learned a good bit from it. I will probably buy another one or two from the series since the price is good. The information is probably still accurate today, but the big thing is just seeing people soldering or wiring something. These were clearly made in the '70s. First it had an older look to it, then the disco music kicked it. But I can say I enjoyed the DVD.

GREAT DVD !
I BOUGHT THIS BOOK BECAUSE I RECENTLY BOUGHT A OLD HOUSE WHERE SOMEONE HAD STOLEN ALL THE WIRE AND COPPER FROM UNDER IT. THIS DVD WAS GREAT TO HELP ME TO WIRE EVERYTHING BACK WHERE IT SHOULD .EVEN THOUGH THE HOUSE THEY ARE WORKING ON IN DVD WAS WIRED THROUGH THE FRAMING AS A NEW CONSTRUCTION TYPE SIMULATION AND MY HOUSE WAS WIRED UNDER A CRAWL SPACE I STILL GOT THE POINT THE DVD MADE. WISH THEY HAD SPENT A FEW MORE MINUTES ON THE BREAKER BOX BUT THEY DID SPENT ENOUGH TIME ON IT FOR YOU TO GET YOUR TASK ACCOMPLISHED. THE PLUMBING SECTION IS PRETTY GOOD ALSO. FORGET ABOUT THE DVD BEING OLD AND THIER HAIR STYLE AND CLOTHES . HUNTSVILLE, Alabama -- Unless otherwise noted, the following incidents were reported to Huntsville police Wednesday and Thursday. In items with incomplete addresses, police withheld the information:

North precinct

Jordan Lane: A 1992 Chevrolet Caprice was stolen from an undisclosed location about 8 a.m. Thursday.

Mastin Lake Road: A washer and dryer was stolen from a home in the 2700 block between noon Tuesday and noon Thursday.

Medaris Road: A home in the 2400 block was burglarized between 9:30 and 11:30 a.m. Thursday. One hundred silver dollars, 100 silver half-dollars, a .38 caliber pistol, a .32 caliber pistol, five watches and two 32-inch flat-screen TVs were stolen.

Memorial Parkway: A 49-year-old man was assaulted at a construction site between 12:15 and 12:45 p.m. Thursday.

Memorial Parkway: Two stainless steel gas grills were stolen from a business in the 12000 block between 1 a.m. Saturday and 1 a.m. Monday.

Pueblo Drive: A 17-year-old male was assaulted at a school about 11 a.m. Thursday.

No, you have the DVD Premium. You would be better to XP until they fix the bugs in Vista anyway.

No, you can not "fix".

Did you try to restart, holding the F8 key, then when you see the boot menu, select Last Known Good Configuration. If you have a legal copy of Windows Vista, which should replace the missing file.
